This website was started to share ideas; ideas about business, design, and goals as it relates to the wedding and event industry. I truly believe that ideas are best when shared and that is my intention– to help inspire you to be the best at what you do.
I opened my wedding and event planning business, Jubilee Events, in late 2007. Over the last several years I have watched my business grow from an idea into a vibrant, profitable, living, breathing entity.
I came into the industry after making a conscience choice to turn my life around, leave my dead-end career, and start fresh. I gained my experience in design from studying art and art history at Central Connecticut State University. Prior to developing Jubilee Events I had never taken a business course and had absolutely no idea what it took to run a successful business. All I knew, like most young entrepreneurs, is that the only way I’d be happy was if I worked for myself.
It hasn’t always been easy but I truly believe the key to my success was the generosity of knowledge from other people and I hope to contribute to that cycle.
